Het bestuur van de WAPCEPC (World Association for Person Centered & Experiential Psychotherapy & Counseling) zoekt een nieuwe redacteur persoonsgerichte en experiëntiële psychotherapieën. De nieuwe redacteur zal samenwerken met de zittende redacteuren: David Murphy en Jeffrey Cornelius-White.
De criteria en de selectieprocedure voor een nieuwe PCEP-redacteur zijn door het bestuur en de redacteuren overeengekomen tijdens een vergadering op 29 juni 2010 . De criteria en procedure zijn hier te vinden op de WAPCEPC-website.
Het publiceren van het PCEP-tijdschrift is een belangrijk onderdeel van het ondersteunen en promoten van het werk van persoonsgerichte experiëntiële therapeuten over de hele wereld. We verwelkomen alle kandidaten die kunnen aantonen dat ze voldoen aan de criteria voor de rol van PCEP-editor. Deel deze informatie alstublieft met uw collega's.

PCEP Editorial role and responsibilities
There are currently a team of four editors: David Murphy and Jef Cornelius-White share the role of lead/managing editor. The managing editor role carries some additional responsibilities to that of the other three editors who share out the work. Currently Manu Bazzano fills the regular editor role. The current vacancy is to replace Manu Bazzano who will step down in 2018 as well as a second regular editor that has not been filled in recent years. The journal editors are further supported by the abstract coordinator and the reviews editor; these roles are currently fulfilled by Catherine Ryan and Graham Westwell respectively.
Responsibilities for Managing Editor:
Managing the Scholar One system
Time commitment: On average spending 5 hours every week (72 hours per quarter year)
To complete the function of overseeing general management and flow paper submissions through the Scholar One system. This includes checking submitted papers are ready to be assigned to one of the editors; reading the papers to ensure the standard of English is satisfactory for this stage of the process. The final stage of this is to complete the checklist and ensure that all papers have removed information that might identify the author(s) and that figures and diagrams are in the document, the abstract is attached and all necessary files are in the system.
Once a paper submission is considered acceptable the managing editor completes the manuscript checklist and assigns the paper within the Scholar One system to one of the editors. Where possible and when an author has specified an editor as preference this match will be made. When this is not possible the manuscript is assigned on the basis of existing workload, special interests of the editors or because one of the editors is overseeing a special issue that is being guest edited.
To provide overall day to day management of the Scholar One Editorial Office Lists. This involves checking that papers are moving through the Editorial Office in a timely manner, maintaining the flow of papers from submission to production.
The managing editor is responsible for the production checklist. This function needs to be completed to transfer papers from Scholar One into Central Article Tracking System (CATS) wherein the papers are transferred from the review process into production. The task involves completing a ‘Production Checklist’ and requires checking that a final clean version of the manuscript is being transferred, that the figures and tables are attached, an abstract is attached, that the author details are attached. The managing editor can rely on the author and editor to ensure that the paper has satisfied all other requirements to meet the standard for publication.
Proofing the final versions of papers is currently shared across the editorial team by the editor overseeing the paper and the managing editor also reads each paper. The primary responsibility for proof reading the final version is the editor. The managing editor is offering a second and extra pair of eyes. The author and copy editor also identify and submit corrections.
Contents page for each issue is proof read by the managing editor and when a special issue is in production the editor overseeing this with the guest editor also submitting corrections.
Maintain regular contact with the abstract coordinator and the reviews editor to ensure the smooth production of issues.
Organizing meetings and maintaining records
Time commitment: approximately 8 hours per quarter year
To organize the editors meeting now held using Skype and a face to face meeting every two years prior to the conference.
To circulate an agenda for the meeting.
Take minutes for the quarterly editors meeting usually now held using Skype.
To revise the minutes after they have been checked by other editors for accuracy.
Keeping the notes on editorial board members up to date for publication in each issue.
Development of the journal
Time commitment: 4 hours per quarter year
Maintain regular contact and communication between the journal editors and contacts within Taylor & Francis.
Maintain links between the editors and the WAPCEPC Board.
To coordinate the development of new business for the journal working with the regular editors and WAPCEPC Board.
Editorial Board Circular
Time commitment: Not specified as we haven’t been doing this
To coordinate and circulate comments from the editorial board members. This can also be completed by one of the other editors if the managing editors workload has become too great.
Time commitment: 2 hours per quarter year
To provide a short piece for the WAPCEPC Newsletter giving an update on the journal. Other editors will also sometimes complete this role.
Responsibilities for regular editor role:
Managing the Scholar One system
Time commitment: This varies between the editors depending on workload. An estimate of range could be from as much as 8 hours per week to as little as one or 1 hour every week.
To manage paper submissions that is assigned to the editor within the Scholar One system.
To provide assign paper submissions to reviewers I a timely fashion.
To maintain positive working relationships with reviewers who give their time for free to the journal.
To maintain positive working relationship with authors submitting papers for review.
To act as editor for paper submission, proposing revisions manuscripts, making editorial decisions in light of reviewers’ comments.
To communicate respectfully to authors the outcome of the review process.
To oversee the smooth transition from assignment to acceptance or rejection of a paper and eventually to the production stage.
To proof read papers for which the editor has been responsible.
Meetings and records
Time commitment: 4 hours every three months
To attend meetings as required.
To contribute to a share of the workload in organizing meetings and maintain records for the journal as required.
Development of the journal
Time commitment: Not specified as it is determined by activity level of individual editors.
To liaise as necessary with Taylor & Francis staff supporting the production of PCEP.
To generate new business, new ideas for special issues and promote the journal where possible to potential new subscribers.
Editorial Board circular
Time commitment: Not specified as we haven’t been doing this.
Assists in generating the Editorial Board circular as required and to ensure a fair and equitable workload amongst the team.
Time commitment: 2hours every six months
To contribute to the Newsletter pieces as required and to support the managing editor’s workload.
Time commitment: Not specified
To support the development of the journal in any other way not identified here but agreed by the team.
